SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos II Theos, 261-246 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31 mm, 17.00 g, 12 h), Antiochia on the Orontes, circa 256-246. Diademed head of Antiochos II to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ANTIOXOY Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow; to outer left, monogram of HΔ; to right, monogram of HΛ. SC 571.2a. A splendid piece, very sharply struck and with a superb portrait. Good extremely fine.
